The partner:
We are looking for a R&D Manager to be hired on a permanent contract with one of our clients, an innovative Start-Up in the chemical-engineering sector. Our client specializes in renewable energy and, in particular, in the research, development and prototyping of new green batteries and long-duration energy storage systems.
The role:
- Define and execute the R&D roadmap across single cell, stack, pilot, and container scale.
- Standardize test protocols: performance mapping, cycling/aging, efficiency breakdown, and safety-related tests.
- Apply Design of Experiments (DoE) to optimize stack/system parameters (flow, pressure, compression, temperature, operating windows).
- Lead scaling-up activities, coordinating build/test iterations and design reviews with engineering teams.
- Own data quality, reproducibility, analysis workflows, and reporting cadence.
- Define acceptance criteria for prototypes and pilot builds; support FAT/SAT preparation.
- Manage lab/test infrastructure needs (instrumentation, test stands, automation requirements) with the controls team.
- Mentor team members and enforce safe, structured experimentation.
- Draft procedures, reports and technical documentation in general.
